Now, i will apply the selection tools to select my images from the raw material i will use for my e-wallpaper.

now, i will explain how i carry out the selection process for my tutorial work.
Step 1: I used magic wand tool to select the red carpet image. To make work easier, I selected the background and inverse it.
Step 2: using the same magic wand tool, I select the black woman and man from the original image.
Step 3: For fom building image, I remove its sky background by magic wand selection tool. next, I use rectangular marquee tool to select the part required.
Step 4: I select the mmu logo by using quick selection tool. instead of using magic wand, quick selection tool seem to be more easier to get the effect i want for selecting mmu logo.
Step 5: to select the earth globe, i have applied the elliptical marquee tool that i learnt from class. During the process, the tool used to work together with 'shift' and space bar key in order to get the better image of earth globe precisely.
Step 6: lastly, same goes for the star, I use magic wand but with a bigger tolerance to select it in one shot.
the final outcome of my work :
throughout this tutorial, I found it's actually quite interesting in doing photoshop though i just done the selection. Hopefully, i can get more familiar with the app and getting more efficient in doing the work after doing more practice with photoshop. ^^
